Camps for Music

INTENSIVE MUSIC AND PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE
FOR ALL AGES

Schools, recreation departments, day cares and other learning enrichment centers are great places to find a D&J Music camp or residency program. We work with groups like Thetford Parks & Recreation in Vermont and Ocracoke School in North Carolina to bring our extraordinary brand of collaborative learning to life!

Whether you’re a parent exploring fun summer opportunities for the kids, a teacher trying to bump up quality in your curriculum or an active citizen seeking ways to enrich your community, we can accommodate your needs.

Here are just a few of our favorite themes and subjects:

VIRTUOSIS INSTRUMENT IMMERSION

MY FIRST BAND (K-6)
BEING IN A BAND... (TEEN/ADULT)

  • Jennifer and Don were a wonderful addition to our Arts Week. In no time at all, students who have never played instruments, sung in public, or written songs were doing all three! All of them came away from the experience feeling more confidence and excitement in their ability to express themselves.

Kitty Mitchell, NBCT EMC/Art at Ocracoke School, Ocracoke NC
  • My very young daughter attended camp and she absolutely loved it. She is very shy and the last thing I expected was for her to perform at the end of the week but she did!!!! It was a great week for her and a very nurturing environment.

    Sara Ecker, Thetford Center VT
  • He liked the variety, learning the instrument, and also recording and writing. He doesn't give many reports, but he was very proud of having learned 4 chords. It was great to get a recording of his work. Thank you!

    Joy Gaine, Thetford Center VT
  • You were perfect! Allowing the children to choose their own projects was wonderful.

    Emily Marsh, Bradford VT
  • My daughter loved music camp! It was a wonderful experience for her. We would definitely do it again.

    Christine Pedi, E. Thetford VT
  • Even my sports-inclined child who tends to shy away from music loved the camp!

    Rachel Traendly, Fairlee VT
  • After day one he came home, and said that he wanted to do camp again next year. Also that when he is a teenager he wants to be a helper at camp :)

    Inger Swingforth, Topsham VT
  • Our children loved their music camp experience. It was a wonderfully supportive environment that we hope to take part in again next summer. They loved their teachers and the younger assistants, and also learned from being a part of a multi-age group with so many talented kids. Watching my children have the courage to perform for a large group at such a young age is testament to the support and encouragement they received at camp.
